Catering to my guests...After almost twenty years in the world of corporate business, I made a leap of faith. In 1993 I left a successful career in software to pursue my passion - cooking and hospitality.
When I enrolled in the chef program at the California Culinary Academy, I wasn't sure how I planned to use my degree and training. I worked with local bed & breakfasts and caterers. I cooked at Bradley Ogden's Lark Creek in Walnut Creek. I started my own catering company and taught cooking classes at B&Bs and in private homes. You may have even seen one of my classes in a television segment of "Real Romance" on the Romance Classics Network.
Ultimately I decided to create a business that would let me combine my background in customer education, business skills and professional chef training with my love for entertaining, gardening and teaching. In 1999 I opened CasaLana, my Bed & Breakfast and the site for Gourmet Retreats in Napa Valley.
I invite you to visit CasaLana - to be pampered during a relaxing getaway, or for a gourmet retreat in one of my cooking classes - or both.
I look forward to welcoming you soon.
